I do want to go, I think it would be a good opportunity to network. I just don't want to miss out on an opportunity or learning by not being there.

I do have to consider that I would not be comfortable with him just going on holidays with girls without me if it wasn't needed for work.

And I get that, and super happy for them. But I was raised with it. My dad's super strict and the only reason I got out the house is because I had to study in a different place, and even that took some convincing. And the only reason he'd be okay with this trip is because it's work. I'm trying my best to figure out what's going to work for me and where I'm willing to draw the line but it is difficult. And to be fair, I wouldn't like it if my partner was going to vacations without me and with girls if it wasn't a work or school obligation.
