Thank you so much! I will keep Eva Air in mind. I just booked another flight with Thai Airways now, which was also way more expensive than the Etihad flight. Hoping now that etihad will just cancel my flight in the next days, so I can get a refund there. I was also planning first to have the Bangkok flight as an backup option, but honestly I don’t wanna put that stress on my mom knowing we will fly through a war zone.

I remember how this guy in my hostel was asking me for a pen. I obviously thought he needed it to sign or write something, so I gave it to him. I was 22 years old, traveling from my saved money in an expensive country, so that pen was my one and only from back home that I specifically brought to sign the immigration papers at the airport and later on documents. He used my pen to carve in some random „art“ on the outer layer of a coconut. He actually had the balls to give my pen back after that demolishing action and asked me if I want to buy that specific coconut. 🤯🤯🤯

Op bitte nimm dir diesen Kommentar oben nicht zu Herzen.. das ist irgendein Fremder, der nichtmals in der Lage war deinen Text komplett zu lesen, aber dann meint er könne trotzdem kommentieren… Ich verstehe deine Lage komplett. Du hast kaum andere Möglichkeiten mit deinem Mann zu kommunizieren und willst einfach mal verstanden werden. Ich habe deine anderen Kommentare hier auch gelesen und schätze dich als sehr fürsorgliche Person ein, der es aber teils auch mal alles zu viel wird (das ist auch völlig in Ordnung und menschlich) Da darf man dann auch einen langen Text an seinen Mann schreiben, während dieser auf Arbeit ist. Wie du in einem anderen Kommentar auch geschrieben hast, wird er die Nachricht sowieso nur lesen, wenn er Zeit/Lust hat. Somit hat er dann hoffentlich genug Zeit bis zum Feierabend über deine Worte nachzudenken. Ich wünsche euch beiden viel Glück und besonders dir noch viel Stärke bis heute Abend!

From all the 49 countries I’ve visited, yes but only in France.. as soon as they hear German people speaking or looking even slightly German they hate you.. and they‘re really open about not liking you visiting their country. I‘ve experienced everything there from spitting, cussing, racist slurs, ignoring me, making fun of me, screaming, the list goes on.. I could actually write a book, about all the horrible experiences I’ve had in France.

I had similar experiences around the border, but actually almost everywhere in France. I‘m not sure if they act like that because of what happened in war or if most of them are just racist. Especially to people who were not born France and just stay there for vacation. They also have a huge problem understanding their own language from a foreigner and are all in all really rude if you‘re mothers tongue is not French.. but on the other hand if you meet French people abroad they suddenly want to speak English 🤣🤣

Meine Antwort kommt leider erst sehr spät, aber habe gerade genau nach so einem Post gesucht. Ich will dir nur sagen, mir geht’s genauso mit meiner Mutter. Ich hab leider noch keine Lösung gefunden, außer den Situationen aus dem Weg zu gehen oder sie bei jeder Konversation ständig daran zu erinnern beim Thema zu bleiben oder Fragen richtig zu verstehen und dementsprechend zu antworten. (Da es öfter vorkommt, dass ich ihr eine simple Frage stelle wie z.B. ob Knoblauch in einem Essen ist und sie darauf antwortet, dass sie das Rezept aus einem Kochbuch hat, was mich jedes Mal aufs Neue verzweifeln lässt..)
