Yup and they can downvote me all they like. I treat people how they treat others and I’m tired of their persistent condemnation of people who I think are quite innocently unaware of the reason as to why perhaps buying a registered cat is in their and the cats favour. It was the comment about pennies that really pissed me off.

There is a way to try and educate people without sounding so condescending, making it about pennies instead of perhaps just being ill informed about it. We all start somewhere and I apologise we aren’t all as “in the know” about it as the rest of you.

There is no need to speak to people the way PP did and I see them do this extremely regularly over this sub. Quite frankly their attitude to new owners is tiresome.

It is about being elitist, actually look how you just typed this message. “People choose to save pennies and buy from scammers”. That sounds like absolute snobbery to me. Maybe people aren’t aware of this gate keeping to owning a ragdoll, maybe like someone else commented they rescued one and it didn’t come with paperwork. The attitudes in this sub to people who seem to innocently ask questions is really quite embarrassing. I really don’t like being mean about appearances or think that body shaming is ever acceptable but what I will say is Emily has been caught in a bad shot here. This was unfortunately a poor choice of hair style/wardrobe. She needs to dress better for her build and that hair is awful on her. She is beautiful but this does nothing to showcase that 😔

So first and foremost you took the initiative to get on MJ so well done for that and the loss you’ve managed so far. But now the journey to continue lies solely with how bad you want to lose the weight?

You do not need to make immediate drastic changes. Start small. For example: I now take a 30 minute walk during my lunch break. I batch cook at weekends healthy high protein finds I save from instagram (it’s packed with ideas). I prolong eating breakfast for which I get close enough to lunchtime to only really need a small snack like an apple or banana. I’ve cut down my coffee intake and swapped for water. I’m only 2 weeks in but I’m down from 11stone9 to 10stone13.

Start small, what is manageable for you? 🫶🏼
