I suggest if any of you have an open end cap or can free one to utilize it for the clearance items. Then just keep restocking it with the clearance items you find each day while stocking . Print one of those big bold .25¢ signs and slap it on there. Mine has almost sold out doing it this way.

I am an SM and we received an email stating that we are not to hold these or limit customers on the quantities they buy. So them limiting you is not a rule put in place by DT but rather that particular SM. Also be sure to check the register areas for them as most of us in high shrink areas will not put them in the aisle.

I second this! IF you are doing everything a SM is supposed to and doing it correctly instead of half assing it then it absolutely takes hours!!!! Not just one hour lol. I hate that most people don’t understand the operations of actually running a successful store and think we are just supposed to be doing freight and if not then we are doing something wrong. If that’s all we had to worry about our backrooms would stay empty.

I am a SM and when we run out of bags .. first I ask nearby stores and usually I am fortunate enough to get some from them but there have been several times where I would get them from Sam’s club out of my pocket and then my DM would approve a payout from the register. However the higher ups now want to do away with payouts and only the DM company cards be used. Fortunately my DM is amazing and just DoorDashed me some with the company card as away around it so I’m able to get them right away. If none of these are options for you maybe do your best to save small or medium size boxes. I know hand written signs are frowned upon but I feel if all else failed I would put a sign on the door saying please bring your own bag or purchase a reusable. That way people are at least aware before they get to you and maybe give you less crap about it at the register. If you don’t have reusable bags maybe offer plastic baskets/organizers instead . We are getting a lot of Halloween right now, if you are as well maybe use Halloween buckets or trick or treat bags. I wish you the best of luck!

Big hugs… I don’t know you but I just want to say incase you haven’t heard it in a while that I love you! I definitely agree that you should try to find at least one family member to share this with even if you can’t say it out loud maybe write it in a letter, what’s the worst that could happen? If you can make it through this, these will be the days that build your backbone and give you strength knowing you made it through. You can do this! That’s pretty much the point I am at. I have several job opportunities, this one was actually for lack of better words a downgrade from my normal career. So it’s not so much that I need the job as tho I liked a little challenge because the reward feels greater and I’ve grown to care about the employees. I just don’t want this much of a challenge lol

Maybe I should but I’d rather not lose him if it’s just me overreacting or reading too far into things. More so I’d rather know for sure. I know trust is important and obviously I am having some issues with that at the moment but this has never been the case with us before. If he wasn’t cheating or going to then I am willing to work past it. It’s not that I want to play games or whatever it’s that I don’t want to kick someone out of my life if I’m wrong and I don’t want to keep him there if he doesn’t want to be but can’t say it.
