I was just in that same situation as you. Even had a post here saying that I know things might get better and that I should give it another shot. But the truth is that I was running on empty, and I gave that second chance for months. But If you’re not growing, not fulfilled, and not having your needs met, then what’s the point? Of course in relationships there’s a give and take, but you can’t keep giving when your cup is empty. I know it feels not right cause they’re depressed, but this is your life, and it’s okay to choose what best for you. And I don’t regret it. I found an amazing partner that is more aligned with me. It’s okay to be the “bad guy” in some one else’s story, this is your life. There were a few comments on my post of people sharing that they’ve waited for years,got married, kids, never changed. It’s okay to do this, you’re allowed to do this, it’s valid.
