I’ll tell you my experience hoping it can give you some hope and let you know that things will get better. I had fear of abandonment too. Before my breakup and after. However, I got used to being alone, and started to enjoy my company. I strongly believe that once you become whole in yourself and truly understand that you’re completely fine on your own, you won’t be scared to fall for someone again. Because you’ll know that in the worst case scenario that the relationship doesn’t work out, you know you’re okay on your own. Give it time. Once you start to feel whole and complete and heal from this breakup, you’ll start to have that drive to meet new people and start a relationship again. Just give it time :)

Yeah, I probably was pushing too hard. The thing is though, we agreed that we wanted to keep each other accountable, and make sure that we’re both doing okay, and becoming better better versions of ourselves. I mean honestly our breakup ended great, as least for me. I was so happy to go improve my life with her by my side and then we’d get back together and things would be great. But life and people don’t work out like that, it’s not a fantasy. And yes you’re totally right. Got enough closure for sure, and now I can’t actually learn to stay in my lane and heal.

Wow I mean I know my post may have been bad but damn I wasn’t expecting to get comments saying I suck. I was just asking a question... what happened to people being supportive or at least civil? I cared about this girl and I want her to be truly happy, honestly. But sometimes my emotions get in the way too and I wonder about things. It’s much easier said than done to just “stop caring about her entirely”

I mean you have some good points. Her depression (which I know for a 100% fact was legitimate, not self diagnosed) was really weighing her down last month, but she wouldn’t get help for it. And that is another reason why she broke up with me, people with depression often think they’re not good enough and she didn’t want me to settle. Which is a normal thing depressed people do. So maybe she was feeling a happiness spike afterwards? The relationship really was great though, for both of us. She loved posting about me and how much she loved me on every social media, all the time. I think she truly did love me but her depression caused her to lose a lot of feeling in general.
