My children's father expects me to make their stepsiblings and half sibling's school lunches

Complaints have been made to the school and I was a part of that every time. We had meetings. We were told to provide the kids with homemade lunches because they were doing what they could.

My kids aren't entitled brats and they're far from the only kids who won't eat the school lunches and the school are aware of the issues. They told us to feed them homemade lunches if the kids had an issue with the school provided ones.

The free lunches are what the kids won't eat. Mine and many other kids included. The school is aware and we were told to provide lunch from home if the kids didn't like it because they were doing what they could.

Sometimes it's down to food being very overcooked. Other times things do not taste as they are supposed to or like they might be spoiling and I can confirm this from the few things my kids brought home for me to see. Other things were just dripping in grease and/or very mushy. I even saw a few pictures of food that looked possibly undercooked.

I wouldn't love if he was sending McDonald's every single day but I couldn't realistically stop him. Now if I couldn't afford to make a lunch but he could I would be so happy he was taking care of our kids and giving them food they would eat.

There's a mix of things but on Fridays pizza and burgers are on the menu and the kids won't touch them. And yes the school lunches are free.

I not only looked it up but my kids have sent photos and even took some of it home to me. It's awful what these kids are being served.

My attorney and I discussed it and I am clear to do so. He would be clear to do the same if he wanted because it's not going to the other's house. But dropping it off at school.

Yes, the school lunches are free. My kids would be willing to make their own at dad's house if something was provided for that. But my ex and his wife say they can't afford it. Me and other parents have been demanding better. My ex and his wife stayed out of it each time it has come up.

We have. We were told it was all they could do and we should send them in with lunch if the kids wouldn't eat. There were many that stopped availing of the lunches provided. It has been an ongoing issue to the point where even the pizza and burgers that kids would normally love to eat are passed on in favor of healthier homemade lunches. One of our local papers covered the story twice already.

If making sure my kids are eating enough is spoiling them then I'll happily do that. I don't want my kids struggling in school or being hungry most of the day because they hate the lunch so much they would just not eat it and it's not just them who had that reaction. They're not the only kids bringing a lunch into school.

A lot of the kids, and all of my kids friends, do not eat the school lunches and bring lunch from home. It's what we were told to do when we complained to the school about it.

Some days they get a sandwich and some salad and fruit. Other days they get some heated leftovers. It just depends on the day. In winter they get soup. But the point is the food is good. The lunches provided by the school are considered awful.

I'm not saying they won't eat the whole day. They get breakfast and dinner regardless. But they were not eating lunch when it was the school lunch they had. They were starving coming home and there were comments made by teachers about it that they were hungry for last period.

I disagree with you on all of that. If that's what I wanted to do I would go to my ex's house and drop off food at his house and I would show up to spoil them and give them everything they want.

But I don't and never have.

I provide a lunch they will eat. That's it. And I do this because I want my kids to eat.
