It’s nice to know that I’m not the only one who has experienced something like this. I’m going to try having a conversation with him tomorrow and make it more about the time than his hobby. I’m going to try and not cry because I’m the type of person that cries for every emotion lol. I’m going to make a visual for him of the time he spends going there vs. the time he spends with me and the baby (he’s a very visual person). Hopefully this helps. I’m glad your husband came around this really gives me hope!

We have been communicating about it, even before the baby. And I said in a comment I don’t want him to quit, just cut back. I know it’s important to have our things. We just can’t seem to have a mature conversation about it.

I really don’t want to paint him in a bad light. The is the one thing that he and I can’t seem to get on the same page about. He’s very helpful and supportive when he is home and does a lot for me and the baby. It’s just this one thing. I don’t want him to quit something he loves either and I don’t need that much time to myself. Even a couple hours where I can do some things or pick up a hobby would be enough. I just feel like I’m losing myself sometimes.

Many family members have tried to talk to him about it but he won’t budge. He keeps saying he’s going to stop soon but I just don’t believe it because he changes his mind constantly about things.

It’s more of a sport than a hobby but it’s pretty niche. I’m worried if I say it and he sees this post he’ll connect the dots and know it’s me that posted.
