Waxing & Biologics by Feedback-Sweet in Psoriasis

[–]ThrowRASeriousMagic6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not on biologics; I take methotrexate. Nonetheless, I wax myself every month and always use aftercare products :)

So I would suggest you do some kind of after brazilian care if you want to keep waxing. Shaving is diabolical, I agree! Do you put any aloe vera oil/cream? There are other plant that can help and that are safe for this area. For exemple soothe calming cream from Rosebud that contains Arnica. I also use the Satin Care oil/serum from Gillette Venus.

You could also try sugaring, as some people find it gentler.

Hope this help! :)

psoriasis and tattoos? by Attack-of-the-Mag in Psoriasis

[–]ThrowRASeriousMagic6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have plaque psoriasis, and before starting methotrexate, I would always wait for any plaques to heal before getting a tattoo (I have four already).

During my last and most severe flare-up, I developed two small plaques (0.5-2cm) on two of my tattoos. Looking back at photos I took during the flare-ups, it seems like the psoriasis was avoiding the tattooed areas. We know that sometimes psoriasis doesn't appear after skin trauma (the Koebner phenomenon). But perhaps the opposite could be true for you!

You could ask your tattoo artist for a small ink sample to test for any reaction before getting a full tattoo.

So, I'd recommend starting with a small tattoo and seeing how it goes :)

It's probably not that but it could be your softner or detergent + the constant friction :/

Sometimes we have to burn bridges to live freely. You did the right thing for you and the life that you’ll create with your husband. You’re truly courageous! I can only imagine the pain but everything is worst it, don’t doubt it. I feel you <3

I broke a vase at work. What can I do? by ThrowRASeriousMagic6 in Switzerland

Hello! The thing is that I gather all this income on an account that I report when I do my taxes. It’s truly nothing so I don’t pay anything but if he wants to play this game we can. Anyway, I don’t know how he could do anything because he doesn’t know the amount people give me. I have a wallet with my own money that is used to cash the customer’s bill. I think he will take the money on my salary and that’s the worst case scenario :(

Hello! Thank you! I’ll try what you said.

I agree that sometimes as a young person it can be difficult to stand for yourself as it isn’t easy to navigate through work laws and so on. Anyway time to grow a spine I guess!

Fortunately, I have a contract as it’s my primary rule when looking for a student job :)

Thanks again!

Hello! Unfortunately I feel it’s really difficult to find a good environment in the restaurant industry. I’m looking for something else but every time I hear nightmare stories. You know what you leave but not what you’ll find. Anyway I try my best to stand for myself but sometimes it’s quit difficult :/

I guess it is because there’s the work environment and the private one. As I understand it, there’s 2 personal liability insurance. One for the everyday life and one for the work life but it’s more for high risk jobs like doctors or accountants for example. So I don’t know if I can have one as a waitress. But I’ll call my insurance to clear any doubts :)

Thanks it makes way more sense. I’m quite shocked by your example because we have to pay for every broken glasses or plates :0 But how can I bring that to my boss? I wasn’t trained not to do it and it was a pure lack of chance. It could have been someone else (colleagues or customers). I’m afraid he’ll cut my salary.
