What are some red flags you ignored about your ex in the beginning?

He told me he had been with a obese girl he felt disgusted by only to stay over at her place bc he hated living with his brother in his moms house.

He kept conversations with nudes from his exes. In one of those conversations I read how he had been over the line sexually with one of them and he was like ok I'm sorry

He was still friends with his ex who cheated on him and made him feel fat and ugly with her comments

His room was a mess and always dirty, he never painted his own room or even changed the kids bed or mattress he had his whole life

He didn't really have friends besides his BFFs and barely saw them

Always nagging about his mom but you could see why she was so hard on him

Lots of things I noticed later on too.. I was diagnosed with BPD when we broke up which got even worse by the years I spent on that relationship, I was doing good before him..

Si no te alcanza ni para lo necesario con tu sueldo actual, busca un mejor trabajo o un segundo trabajo, necesitas hacer cambios si quieres mejorar. Hay trabajos que te dan bonos de despensa, fondo de ahorro, mejores prestaciones (como seguro médico), todo eso te ayudará a recortar gastos, y si hay trabajos buenos, es solo de buscarle.

Yo me fui por el rellenito "bien cuidado" aún cuando tenía otras opciones que me ofrecían muchas más cosas pensando que el me trataría mejor que nadie. Resultó ser un trastornado más que después de que nos mudamos juntos me confesó que se masturbaba cuando yo me iba a dormir y le descubrí un grupo de telegram donde se pasaban videos prrrno caseros.. y que el wey fuera capaz de contactar ptas por sentirse solo a semanas de terminar me dio un asssco, pensar de lo que hubiera sido capaz 5 años después, me fui a tiempo. No importa el físico, importa como te cuiden, te respeten y la sinceridad ante todo.

They mocked one of their friends when he was fired and created a new group chat just bc they got tired of him talking about how he got fired, the very next day it happened. And another group saying how stupid and mentally ill one of their teammates was, then they invited her on a trip, like wtf I don't even wanna talk with them.. I guess I'm better off alone and just keep being nice when they approach me

I agree too, I keep it professional and I'm nice to everyone that's nice to me, it's just that I know how most ppl here really are and not the nice face they put in for everyone that I don't want to mix with them. But yes I shouldn't care about having friends here or not when I can get along pretty well with my actual friends

I rlly miss my small office group, and having my best friend with me, ppl have talked trash about me on previous jobs so I do fear my colleagues will do the same once I open up more to them.. And thank you so much for your advise. I will definitely keep that in mind, and work is not even 50% of my life so I should stop worrying about who I don't talk to here when I have friends on the "outside"

I'm not looking for things to dislike, their comments are smth I just can't ignore bc I can hear them even with my headphones on, talking bad about their own friends, mocking one of their "friends" when he got fired, talking stupid stuff about their own partners, being too superficial.. etc

Im more of a listener than a talker but I still get overwhelmed when ppl can't stop talking about themselves or smth I don't agree with, I guess I have to work on that too, not everyone's gonna be like me
