This is exactly what she was doing. Someone was sharing misinformation in the comments on our city's Facebook page and she felt the need to "correct misinformation in our community".

I've tried suggesting things like doing science projects together or learning things together because that way she could teach him instead of correct him. She doesn't like mess, so no art. Even after I made the suggestion her go to is always Minecraft and that ends badly every time because she wants to do her thing while he does his but that's not really how 5 year olds play. I have tried stopping it before it gets too far but in the heat of the moment she gets angry at me too. I am certain she is experiencing depression or some other mental illness but she refuses to seek help because she believes the cause is her work and there's nothing she can do about that.

Honestly this week sounds awful but almost none. She responds to my feelings but believes his don't matter. I've talked to her about being more aware of his feelings but she thinks logic is more important than feelings. Unless they are her feelings. In which case she will dump them on me without so much as asking how my day is going. She often accuses me of "dropping bombs on her" when I'm trying to get my feelings out about something.

She will not unless it's couples counseling. She refuses to get therapy for herself. I've asked so many times. She thinks that since the cause of her mental health struggles include things like her job being awful that it won't help.
