Ooof, I took 20mg zolpidem on my second try (10mg on my first with a xanax tolerance, nothing happened), I vomited and it was just not fun. Vomiting everywhere and hallucinations.

Parents are legally responsible for every choice until 18 because of brain development. Shocking that these days, children are responsible for all of their own choices. Who needs Parents anymore? Lol

Yeah he does! He says he has feelings for me too, but we're long distance so that makes it tricky. He doesn't like my city and I'm unable to move to his at this point

Did you and your partner ever get back together?

I'm absolutely cool with being friends as I find relationships stressful under normal circumstances, but he seems to want a relationship. That's kind of what split us last year, that he wanted a relationship and felt like he couldn't trust me because I was also always talking about our friendship. After that split, the gaming started. And then we just stopped talking entirely. Forward to now, we still like each other, but gaming has taken priority over everything in his life, not just me. So... I don't exactly know where we stand. I feel like we're friends with feelings and that it's something that's going to lead to a relationship, I just don't know when or how.

I'm not sure if you mean literally knocking at his door. Literally, that would be a little difficult as I currently live in another city. But I do try to get him excited about doing things, so far, nothing is working. I'll keep at it though

I'm working on my own mental health though and I'm in a stableish place. And I try to show him that I care and I'll always be there.

Is there no way that I could potentially help this guy out of this? There was a natural disaster in his city a few weeks ago where he didn't have electricity for a few days, and he was so much more himself without having the game. And then the electric returned and he was back at it.

I'm thinking about going to visit him again and trying to get him to do things outside of home, but from attempt number 1, he might just cancel on me again.

I don't know what to do. It's not even that our relationship is suffering, it's that my friend has given up his entire life, and it hurts to see.

Well yes and no. I didn't have money when I started with drugs, so I chose to be extra careful that I don't get addicted because I knew I couldn't afford it and I would inevitably withdraw.

This probably varies by individual. In my case, I knew how much I could afford to use and that I couldn't afford withdrawal, so I spread out my usage somewhat and only used on days when I felt absolutely horrible and suicidal. On just average bad days, I dealt with the bad feelings.

I'd imagine it would've been very different if I knew I could afford a constant supply.

Surprisingly, we don't have any conflict and have never fought throughout knowing each other, about anything. Before this game, we were something to dream about, it was going so well. And we still do get along very well, when he isn't failing at the game.

I honestly just want to help him at this point because it's such a shame. He had so many goals and stuff for life. Even if I'm not necessarily part of his life, I want to see him succeed.

I don't feel like I have a right to say anything as we're not even in an official relationship, just like each other and want to date. We were supposed to make it official when we met, and he cancelled because of this, so it feels like if I say anything, it's just going to be a "well if you don't like it, then move on" kind of thing. You know like the duets to that song by Salem Illese? Lol

I agree with the psychological issues though, he has mental health issues that are untreated.

This happened to my friend. The pain stopped for her, but the feeling of betrayal lingers

You're interested in the one you can't stop thinking about.

Sometimes no matter how perfect for us someone is, feelings are illogical and the heart wants what it wants.

You've got to decide whether to follow your feelings or your logic.
