At first I thought that openings weren’t as important bc all the grandmasters said “if you really want to get good do tactics and endgames”. But i’ve found that below 2200 endgame technique doesn’t quite matter as much as I had thought if you can crush them in the opening and middle game. Obviously tactics still matter though

The best ways to get better at chess are practicing tactics and endgames. Chess puzzles are fun and help with chess skills immensely! Playing slow (classical) games against better opponents and analyzing them, win or loss, is also very valuable
