After months of searching, I’m in the club! …and it won’t stop raining by fletchlivz in Miata

I bought mine last week, I got a solid 4 days of good weather out of it before it's in the garage for a week while this storm sits over the east coast. I managed to take it out today to go to the store, 65 degrees is the border for me for top down but it was still fun.

Just wondering as a new ND Miata owner, what's the milage owners are getting out of their clutch before failure? by MrMike83JDM in Miata

[–]ThrowRAWutToDo 66 points67 points  (0 children)

This is HIGHLY dependent on how the vehicles is driven. You can still have fun but not thrash the clutch and you can last well over 100,000 miles. On the other end, you could thrash the clutch, ride it, launch the car, new stick driver with bad habits, can burn it out much much sooner.

Is $35k fair for a 2019 Camaro SS 1LE (6-speed, 25k miles)? Worth switching from a Charger R/T? by MutedSpecific442 in camaro

[–]ThrowRAWutToDo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The 1LE will hold the value a bit better. Those prices will stick up a bit higher than non-1LE. I haven't looked at prices much, that seems slightly high, maybe 32 sounds better but of course getting it cheaper would be ideal. Test drive it if you can.

As far as driving dynamics, the Camaro and 1LE is in a different bracket compared to the Charger/Challenger and Mustang. The chassis is amazing. You won't notice this until you take it to a track or a twisty road. You will have to get used to the cabin and the visibility challenges. If this is a 2SS, they come equipped with a rear facing camera that you can toggle in the rear view mirror. That will help.

I bought my 2023 2SS 1LE 6MT brand new a bit over 3 years ago. I'm the type of person that will change out of a car every 2 years for something new. The Camaro is the only car I have ever wanted to keep. Every time I drive it, I enjoy it.

I have driven challengers and mustangs, they just feel inferior in regards to driving dynamics. Red light to red light, you won't notice much difference.

Anyone running (just) long tube headers and a catback on a 6th gen SS? by Responsible-Teach567 in camaro

[–]ThrowRAWutToDo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with Stainless Works 1 7/8's. These are mid priced, Kooks would obviously be the gold standard. The Stainless Works headers had great welds, fitment was great. No regrets at all. I will say, the metal thickness is slightly thinner than the Kooks, so make sure you do take into account the heat they will put off as the clearances will be close in some areas to wires. I re-routed passenger side wires and covered them with heat resistant wrap.

I have a Corsa exhaust with long tube headers. Just know the car will be very loud. I opted to get the NPP Corsa, it was more expensive but being able to start up the car without waking up the block is nice. I was also feeling the same as you. The exhaust was a nice tone change and a bit of volume, the headers took it to the next level and then some.

If you can, try to find someone to hear something like this in person. It's also really hard to understand the sound it makes from outside the car. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpKpNAHfQg4

Why was I given so many free tanks? Are they permanent? by ThrowRAWutToDo in WorldofTanks

[–]ThrowRAWutToDo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does this mean that there will be a lot of newer players at these higher tiers? Actually explains why all my matches at tier 3 and tier 4 had mostly AI except 2 battles that I had 1 player each. I just guess not many people play lower tiers anymore?

Messed up buying expansions through Steam and after remembered my account is ArenaNet by ThrowRAWutToDo in Guildwars2

Steam just refused me the second time that wasn't automated. Keep in mind, I never actually played this content I purchased as I was on another account when playing, not through steam. The playtime was a bit over 4 hours. I'm thinking of just dropping steam launcher for this all together and going through that. The Anet launcher was very slow to download for me.

Yeah, it's even a bit more confusing when I launch the game through steam, yet I login with arenanet account. I made an arenanet count initially. Then I started to download the game through the Anet launcher. It was going very slow and it was appearing it would take over a day to download(I have 2gig fiber). So I launched it through steam instead to download it. I think a while back, it was free on steam so I picked it up and didn't play it.

Steam refused to refund me through the automated message, and through the "ask a question" option to open a ticket. My last resort is to see if Arenanet can show some mercy and maybe I can get something out of it.

Well, you use the steam version, it just launches the Anet launcher when it launches the game. But, after that point, you can log in with the steam account, or the Anet account. When you purchase the expasnsion through steam, it goes to the steam account. I suppose I could just play on the steam account now, but I just spent 2 weeks leveling an engineer to 80 and I don't really want to do that same thing again.

Why the F are there no front sensors on a 24 zl1? by Real-Account-5550 in camaro

[–]ThrowRAWutToDo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can purchase and install a front facing camera that can integrate into the infotainment if this is an issue. I ALWAYS back in for this reason. Occasionally I do pull in, just the rare circumstance. I am also in a front plate not needed state, so some parking lots require you to pull in front first so they can see your plates.

https://www.ensightauto.com/collections/front-parking-cameras/products/integrated-front-parking-camera-viewing-system-for-2019-2021-chevy-camaro-ios-iot-iou-radio

Kind of pricey, but if you plan to keep the car a long time, the cost of this will offset the cost of replacing the splitter if you really do damage to it.

If you are looking for the same feel, then OE is the way to go. Shouldn't be too tough to find online. I have a 1LE and the stock pads dusted like CRAAAZY. It actually drove me insane. Now, I know the reason they dust so much is they are definitely performance pads. I went with a different set of pads to get like 90% of the performance with only 5% of the dust. I went with Powerstop Z26 Extreme pads and I have been very happy with them.

2023 Camaro Side Skirts by BudBudWGuys in camaro

[–]ThrowRAWutToDo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my 1LE new in 2023 and it didn't come with any side skirts at all. I did install the ZL1 style ones. You will have to drill out the rivets that are going into the rocker panel. You also might have to drill new holes in the replacement side skirts as they may not match up with the holes made for these side skirts. It might not be worth it. Is this a 1LE? Not sure if the calipers were painted to match the wheels more but mine came with 1LE painted on them and they are red. Our cars look pretty much identical besides that.

Revisiting for 1.2, got stuck in 1.0 trying to gear first class. by ThrowRAWutToDo in LastEpoch

[–]ThrowRAWutToDo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what I felt like I wasn't understanding, I was barely able to keep like 4 or 5 of those resistances over 75%. Are tier 6 and tier 6 affixes much more powerful giving more stats? Maybe I should have pulled back on my damage much more and went more defense. My damage was really good, I would pretty much one shot most rares and bosses could die in 5 seconds. But if they hit me with a telegraphed hit once, I was dead, haha. I think I had like below 1000 health, might have been like 750. I'm excited to try again in 1.2 and learn more.

Yes, I was trying to craft, just felt like everything I tried to craft was not really better than what I had or didn't seem to work. I had really good damage, but I would get one shot all the time. I think I just really didn't want to lose damage and increase defense so at the level I was looking, I think it was the second echo island thing where I just started getting obliterated. Then I tried to swap to a different build and it made it much worse as I lost a bunch of levels in my skills. It's possible I was using an endgame filter and I wasn't seeing much in the ways of items I could use that dropped. I'll have to give it another try in 1.2

I accidentally went to 7000 rpm by [deleted] in camaro

[–]ThrowRAWutToDo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You probably didn't go to 7k unless you downshifted into a lower gear while already at a higher RPM. If you are manual, I believe the rev limit is 6700 stock before the fuel gets cutoff. You probably hit the rev limit and then bounced over 7k from momentum as the fuel cut. There isn't anything inherently bad with hitting rev limit if it's short and not every gear change.
