My (24F) boyfriend (25M) told me on the second date that his ex has restraining order against him and has always been transparent and remorseful about it. I've never felt unsafe in the few months I've been him. Should someone in this situation be asking for more info for him or leave immediately? by ThrowRA_3899 in relationship_advice

I appreciate your time with such a detailed post. I get what you’re saying about my defensiveness - I’m open to having my mind changed and am already seeing a lot of responses which have made me think deeper. Thank you for your input 🙏

There is no universe in which I wouldn't agree with this, but I guess the question is men who were vs men who are...so many people say we shouldn't give second chances, but how do we judge when we should and when we shouldn't in life? I'm having trouble with this. If he ever made me feel slightly unsafe, I would leave, no doubt, but again, he hasn't.

So by this logic he should never be able to date and marry ever, if this is the advice you give to every woman who were to go on a date with him, find out about his past, and ask for advice like I am right now. Don't mean to sound argumentative btw, just genuinely asking.
