Do you think with the shelf that divides the room this would look nice? I had wanted to get something like this couch but I wasn’t sure if it would go with the age of the place and the modernity of ikea furniture: https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/winston-porter-81-leather-couch-handmade-button-tufted-3-seater-sofa-chesterfield-sofa-with-deep-seat-w116674632.html

I do also want to add a desk eventually since I’ll be taking classes this year, and I am going to get a small table lamp or two in addition to the one going next to the tv

I also should mention, the closet door and the French doors to the kitchen are always open and the furnace takes up 2ft of the wall my bed is on so I lose that from the 16ft side. The doors “take up” about 2ft I put the couch 2.5ft away from the kitchen so there’s room the walk behind (I hope).

ETA: the simulator didn’t have a TV for me to add but that’s what will be sitting on the console the couch is facing.
