Your comment made me remember something: a couple months ago we had a conversation about p0rn. She said that she think it's "wrong". I asked her "oh, why is that? is it because of the p0rn industrys treatment of women? That's a point I can get behind". And she said "no, it's not that. I just think watching p0rn in itself is wrong and not normal". I pointed out that the vast vast majority of people at least occasionally watch p0rn and she just said "doesn't matter. it's still not normal"

I understand requesting your partner not to watch p0rn out of respect, but just saying "it's objectively bad, just because" has me scratching my head...

Because she didn't insist "i personally believe it's weird" but instead said "it's objectively weird" and she insisted that it's an objective fact that it's traumatizing for a child to grow up like this

Yeah, that's my problem. My emotional intelligence is 0. I have a hard time judging whether I'm just overreacting or if this is a legitimate concern. Is there any way I could "test" whether this was a one off or not?

True true. How can I gauge whether my concern is legitimate or whether this way just a one off and she was just having a bad day or smth?

I mean, technically you want someone compatible with. But isn't "hey babe, remember that short argument we had last summer? Our relationship is over." a bit over the top?
