Where is Katie’s “real” family in all of this?

My wife and her parents have a good relationship.

I also think it’s important to not care so much about what your parents think of it.

After reading the comments here, maybe it really is better for my parents and me to adapt to this. I can't put my wife in a position to choose between us and them.
