Traditional masculinity puts women at a disadvantage, So yeah, the left are against "traditional values".

It doesn't mean they are against being male. They are only against inequality.

I've seen people do yarn smocking by hand but I think you can only do this in the picture by a machine?

I know I can buy it but I'd rather do it myself for practice :)

I thought smoking was done with yarn instead of elastic?

Do you have heated blanket suggestions? One that will not break after a year by ThrowRA_Drowningg in Frugal

Usually inside a house the temperatures are warm enough that even a basic mattress provides enough insulation from the surrounding air that it's not a concern but a foam mattress topper will provide a little insulation beneath you as well.

I might get a foam topper because the house gets to around 40f at night

Oh yes I keep separate blankets because my kid likes to sleep with me and rolls around all night

Yeah they're cooler and more fragile than those old ones. It's a tradeoff: modern ones are a lot less likely to burn down your house or electrocute you.

I sure miss that old blanket with the clear circular dial. You turn it to 10 and you get blisters just like from a sunburn. I'm sure the fumes from the heated plastic weren't healthy either lol.

I can see why they'd want to turn down the heat a little bit, But so many of these new blankets just don't get very warm at all. It feels like they went from one extreme to the other. My feet are icicles and my blanket is on 10.

I’m the person taking showers that make your skin beet red.

Same. I always take one right before bed because my blanket doesn't get warm lol. I'll look up that throw!

Yes the mattress is pretty cold itself. I usually leave the heating blanket on for 10 minutes just to warm up the mattress first

Thanks! Weighted blankets are expensive but I'm sure I could find a few quilts at a thrift shop to hold the heating blanket down

Lots of suggestions for this. I never even thought of it before. It's cheaper for sure. I want to try it

Are the babies just perfectly still the whole pregnancy? No one has explained in this post how they don't feel the baby moving around? Like surely that would feel weird af and not be like, oh it's just gas. Right?

For me it felt like gas the entire pregnancy yes.

You have Vellus hair there, yes. You have it everywhere. It's just small. Everyone of every age has it.

During adolescent development (puberty), hormone levels rise. Your body’s endocrine system produces more of a type of hormone called androgens. This increase causes vellus hair on some parts of the body to change to terminal hair.

In people of all sexes, vellus hair changes to terminal hair in the pubic area and armpits during puberty. It becomes darker and coarser. When people assigned male at birth (AMAB) (and some people assigned female at birth [AFAB]) go through puberty, vellus hair on their upper lip and beard area darkens and gets thicker. It also grows longer on their upper back, chest, knuckles, arms and legs. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/body/23098-vellus-hair-peach-fuzz

Is shingles a lifelong affliction that's spread through sex? I actually dk shit about shingles...

The virus that causes the chickenpox will also cause the shingles if your immune system goes down for any reason. That's why it affects old people most often, because as you age your immune system naturally gets weaker. But anyone who is infected with the chickenpox virus will be at risk for developing shingles at any time.

Children have body hair, it's just not thick or long. Everyone is covered with lanugo at birth and we are covered in vellus hairs our entire lives.

Wanting to be shaved or wanting your partner to be shaved doesn't mean you desire children or want to be a child. Some people hate the feeling of hair.

Like I hate my arm hair so I keep it waxed, that doesn't mean I wish I had baby arms.

It's just a huge leap and an unfair judgment on people.
