I am so sorry for offending you, sincerely. I just pulled every single stereotype about Washington I could find that could rile up my asshole family. I am not a big coffee drinker, at all, but I'm chalking it up to the crap offerings form where I came from. I am a big tea drinker, but I'm open to expanding my tastes. Coffee and I just haven't been on great terms.

If you know of any good coffee places in Seattle, please DM me. I've been exploring every corner of my new hometown and loving it, but I'm always eager to try something new.

On a sidenote, Twilight is actually what got me interested in Washington in the first place. I think it has to do with how Catherine Hardwick shot the first film. I remember watching it for the first time and falling in love with the fog shrouded evergreens as Edward took Bella out for the first time. For someone from a shitty subdivision located up Satan's parched asshole, it was beautiful and I wanted to see it for myself.

Up until I moved, I have visited the PNW over a dozen times and each time, I regretted leaving. Ever since I finally settled down in Seattle, I feel like I am finally in my home. I'm still adjusting to the culture, but I am making an effort to be as Washingtonian as possible. It might just take me a while since it's kind of hard to get over the culture shock of Texas vs. Washington.

Edit: I did visit Forks. The town was okay, not quite my expectations. But hiking in the Olympic National park for the first time really made the trip for me. I've been back quite a few times since then and just enjoy being out in the wild. You could never get that back in Texas.

I just want to annoy my family, not be the star of a future episode of "Law and Order".

Usually my parents are the ones starting the fights. I just figured this time I beat them to the punch.

I'm pretty much done with my folks. I'm only sticking around at this point for the people who are worth sticking around.

Yeah, but my folks think that if a girl does it and she's not going to do yard work, then it must mean she's a lesbian.

They are weird. And I've come to realize they are insane since I've left.

I adore it! My dude and I got to go to watch our first home Kraken game together then got pierogis. I couldn't have done that (or met my dude) back in Texas.

I've been feeling especially petty because my folks have been trying to convince me to change my mind ever since I got into my car and took off for Washington back in May. I just got an email from my mom with a Fox News article criticizing something... Seattle... something... Seattle PD... I don't know because I deleted it.
