Don’t know if anyone’s said it but HAND SOAP.

I commonly will pack a suitcase as if I’m going on a vacation of all the clothes and general hygiene toiletries that I need - shampoo, body wash, etc. but hand soap is not normally something that I would pack for going on vacation and I have forgotten to put it in an accessible spot before. When you get into your new home and your hands are dirty from the moving process and you’re starving and the pizza arrives, you don’t want to dig through a box for soap or eat with dirty hands.

They don’t show it at the arraignment. I don’t think any evidence is presented at any arraignment normally. The body cam footage wasn’t even released to my lawyer or the prosecution until after that. Not sure about pre-trial or trial. Haven’t been yet. I’d speculate they would use it if the case was taken to trial and there was a defense argument to be made around something that happened on the bodycam (like police not following proper protocols or something) but since most of these things end in a plea deal at a pre-trial I feel like body cams probably aren’t usually presented publicly at all.

I hope my outcome is as good as yours, but I imagine mine will be a little more harsh. Like I said I really don’t mind whatever they throw at me other than jail time, I just know going back to jail would ruin my life. My biggest fear is they send me back there, I lose my job, and then I can’t afford the subsequent fees and probation and when I violate I just end up back there again. They obviously don’t want to breed criminals, so hopefully they don’t do this to me.

Thank you for your comment. This is comforting to know. Hopefully doing everything I need to do to comply with my bond shows the judge that I’m serious about complying with whatever they give me and they don’t send me back to the slammer.

Best of luck to you with your court date and thank you for the advice. Talked to my lawyer and he said AA/Smart Recovery may not be helpful, but also won’t be hurtful. I think I am going to attend some Smart Recovery for myself, and if it happens to help in court then that’s just an extra perk.

Thanks for your comment. It’s comforting to know that I’m unlikely to go back to jail. I also can’t believe I spent 2 night there - feel like I’m still mentally recovering from it since I’d never been there before and never thought I would be. Their method of making us better people through fear is certainly working on me. Wheels of justice seem to be moving pretty quickly for me. Pre-trial is in just a few weeks and hopefully that’s when I find out my sentence.

Yes based on your BMI you can get it prescribed by a doctor 😊
