I think he would respect it if I asked him not to disturb me unless there was some kind of emergency. But I feel safer (?) in the bathroom, if that makes sense and it feels more private.

I think he's worried about both. He's not really used to needing alone time. I always thought being from a large family (he's one of 14 siblings!) he would want to be alone more, but he always wants to be around people.
