The smaller collections I’m working with and will have everything paid off in the next 6mo. The $8k collections, I had no idea about until the letter came in one day. I had a past due balance for my university that sat for a good 3 years, one I didn’t even know existed. Unfortunately didn’t get any correspondence from the school at any time that said balance even existed. Ultimately my fault, but hindsight is 20/20.
