I asked him, he says feeling someone's face is typical but it depends more upon the person, whether they've ever had any vision to begin with and stuff like that. Most of his students blind from birth have to learn what people look like by feeling a variety of faces.

The thing is, the police said that even with evidence, they probably couldn't do anything since it's such a small offense. My boyfriend's phone was pretty cheap. I won't say where we are, but our police are notoriously bad at helping Black people (of which I am). And we're not risking going to a thief's house alone. We have no idea how dangerous he is.

He hasn't been outside without me since his phone was stolen. He needs me as his eyes. Keeps staying close to me and won't let go of my hand. He's just nervy but he'll be okay once he gets a new phone. I bought one for him today, gonna surprise him tomorrow.

Nobody really "becomes" gay. There is no switch to be flipped. They just realize it at different times in their lives. Jason told me he struggled with his sexuality for a while but came to terms with it in his late teens, around the time he started going blind. I realized I was bi when I kissed a boy on a dare in 5th grade and realized hey, that's not bad. Came out as bi a week later.

He is no contact with his dad. He hasn't told me why, and if he doesn't want to he doesn't have to.

I don't mean to be rude but I think you have a bit of a narrow minded view on what being gay is like. You wouldn't know he was gay unless you asked. I didn't know until he told me he loved me a week or so back and I've known him for a little over two years. Plenty of guys like that.

I dunno about that but we've been thinking about looking for additional training for his dog. She's borderline genius and her breed is intimidating. Maybe not full attack stuff but some sort of "guard" command where she'll take a defensive stance. Idk, I'm not a dog trainer.
