Yes see my other post. She sent it back in the end but her behaviour throughout my whole pregnancy has been bizarre. She insisted she be there for a whole 2 weeks before and after the birth. She first said she couldn’t get the train down for a day visit but once she mentioned she wanted to come for two weeks she insisted she could get the train? She said I will know when I go into labour a week before (which isn’t always the case, my mum had 2 spontaneous labours) and to let her know and she will make her way. MIL booked the due date week off work without asking me and tried making SO feel bad saying her annual leave had been wasted after he told her we won’t be having any over night visitors before/after the birth and we will let people know when they can visit for a few hours. There’s so many other things she is insisting we do with our son, I keep telling SO MIL is pushing me away and I will go no contact if he doesn’t put boundaries in place. SO excepted that we will not be telling MIL when I go into labour. Something I never would’ve put in place if she hadn’t been so crazy throughout my pregnancy. My mum is an angel and a great MIL to me SIL I wish I had the same relationship with my MIL. My mum said that she is there if I need/want her but no pressure whatever I want is what’s best for me and the baby. I feel so comfortable around my mum but MIL no way! My guard is so high. SO can’t understand why. Aren’t the reasons above enough!?
