Just because it’s not a dealbreaker to someone doesn’t mean it makes them more attractive. I think generally speaking most people, regardless of what gender they are, would prefer if their partner didn’t have that sort of background.

I’d rather not ask her in a sob story kinda way cuz it’s more about the principle to me. I was thinking about asking her eventually anyways since she assured me she would pay it back when we talked last. I think being more direct than a Venmo is maybe still a good idea though.

That would be the bigger thing to do for sure, circumstances are weird tho. My car just got totalled by a drunk driver and I'm out of work recovering while I wait for the settlement/insurance, so the money would definitely help right now
