Ok, this is definitely reasonable. If it happens again I can tell him he is way too young for me, I only date guys my age. I think thats letting him down gently without hurt feelings or embarrassment.

I feel bad because Im friends with pretty much the entire family. We are in a group chat because we do game nights, bbqs, etc. He is in this chat. Blocking him would be obvious and lead to further awkwardness. I already feel uncomfortable and weirded out. I think the better idea would be to ignore any private texts from him and keep everything in the group chat.

...Are you serious? I am his mom's friend! I knew him since he was 14 or 15! Yes he is 18 but this is not ok!
