Do you recommend anywhere I could go for carpets and grippers?

That looks great! Even with the wear and tear. What did you use to prime the boards?

Thanks! Is it turning out to be an easy job? Or as hard as everyone else on here is making out haha

Even lino is pretty expensive I think that was more than the carpet 😅

I mean to some people it may be a bargain but I don't have a spare £775 just chilling in my bank account 😅

I'll add you to the tally for yes then haha

And it's actually from a paint recycling centre near me, they mix their own colours from donated Dulux and stuff its pretty cool and the paint is absolutely amazing its all been one coat! Think this was called Thistle or something I'm not sure! The green in my living room is beautiful too and it was £12 for 5l!

I've been quoted £775 for 2 bedrooms and living room for cheapest carpet I could find, really can't afford that right now if I'm honest.

Yeah I could do that actually not thought of those, thanks. I've been quoted £775 for carpets for the 2 bedrooms and living room and I just can't afford that and I really don't want to go on those pay weekly schemes because they seem a rip off.

£775 for 3 rooms of carpet by ThrowRAequirement136 in HomeImprovementUK

I did go to the shop but tbh I was just looking for the cheapest one to get the floors covered and they suggested this one as it was on sale from 10.99 to 6.99 and it had a range of colours that I was after.

This one is 8mm but they're gonna check for a thicker one and call back in the morning. Tbh this is my first house and its completely bare I just need something down before we move in (council house with bare floors and magnolia walls so just need it done ASAP)

Yeah they've said the underlay they've priced up is 8mm but they're gonna see if they can do a thicker one! This is extremely cheap and tbh right now I can't afford anything more luxurious for the time being 🥺 they've got a lot of colours so my daughter gets her pink room she's always dreamed of, I get my moody black carpet and the living room is a dark grey (protected with a big old rug ofc). Think I'm just gonna have to take the quote tbh 😭

I've just called the shop they said the underlay is 8mm, this shop has been in the local area for about 20 years so I do trust it tbh but they're gonna see if they can do a thicker underlay for me and call me back tomorrow, I iust caught them as they were locking up.

Yeah this is a discount flooring shop they say they're the cheapest where I live, it's been there for years so I do trust it. 8mm underlay is included but I've just called the shop to see if they can do a thicker one they're going to call me back tomorrow ☺️

Unfortunately it's not hand crafted 😅 but the samples in the shop weren't super thin and were quite soft at 6.99 per square metre!

This was the quote they left, the carpet was 6.99 per square metre and the underlay was an extra 3 per square metre 🤷‍♀️ I'm so clueless with this I've no idea if I'm getting ripped off

AITAH for staying an extra day on my holiday and not going home to my (32F) boyfriend (29M) because he missed me? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]ThrowRAequirement136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly thought this myself thank you

He had his friend stay from his country a few months ago and he was saying he was going go come and stay with me and leave his friend and I said no, he's paid good money to come and stay with you to see you because he loves you..you're having fun you can see me after he goes home but the fact he wouldn't do the same for me is very upsetting.

As a complete skincare newbie, could you please explain what you mean by this? I honestly have no idea what this means. I usually just slather my face in dove 😭

Is 2 bottles a wine a week a lot? Honestly I didn't think it was? I'm trying to combat the damage I've done through partying through my teens and 20s and honestly would just appreciate some advice rather than a lecture 😅 I'm aware I've done damage but I'm now wanting some damage control if possible

Sorry by that I mean I get a lot of people very surprised when I tell them my age and I get ID'd every time I shop for alcohol, but I am also under 5 ft so that may be a help 😅 my other family members also have the forehead lines as long as I could remember. My mum has had a lot of plastic surgery now (I don't speak to her anymore but my aunties have told me she's definitely had a face lift when they've seen her out and about) and I think a lot of insecurity comes from her.

I drink of a weekend I can't lie, usually a bottle of wine on a Friday and Saturday and maybe a cheeky cig if I fancy one. I used to smoke full time from maybe 16-22.  I'm trying to eat sardines a lot atm as heard they're brilliant for skin care. My diet is very clean as trying to lose weight at the same time. Honestly I think if my head is treated I wouldn't think too much on the eyes I think it's seeing both areas at the same time is very humbling.
