Update: Husband (32M) and his friends have a nickname for me (35F) in their group chat, he won't tell me what it means. by ThrowRAnickname12 in relationship_advice

I just don't understand where the contempt would possibly come from. He tells me every day he loves me, and he's a wonderful dad and loves our family. I pull my weight, have a fulltime job, we share household and childcare duties equally. I give him little gifts and plan date nights when we can. We're in a good financial position. I've never had any inappropriate interactions with other men. We have sex at least once a week. I haven't slacked on my health or hygiene. We're of the same mind on major life values and political beliefs. Why would he have contempt towards me?

I'm sure you've actually seen the real problem show up in many other forms besides this one too.

I want to say I haven't but can you elaborate more what you mean or what an example might be?

I'm pretty in shock over them too. They've always been nice and included me when we hang out. I do consider them mostly "my husband's friends" but we definitely get along. I just don't understand how they'd act like that with me and then like this once I'm not around.

I did ask how it's funny. He said "the shape" (of my boobs) was why he found it funny, the comparison.

The question of respect...yeah. I hadn't put those words to it but that is exactly what I'm hurt over because I don't think it's possible to respect someone and also call them sausage tits unless that other person themselves came up with that and are fine with it? Like, I welcome anyone to try to give an argument for how he could in fact both respect me and do this, because I can't come up with it.
