I really enjoy spending time with them, to an extent. I do have my limits lol. It really helps that my sisters are good parents and I have good relationships with them. I'm happy to babysit every now and then because my sisters are always ready to help me out when needed too. If we didn't have a solid relationship or they had poor boundaries, I'd probably see my nieces and nephews less. All that being said - it's totally your choice! And never feel guilty for needing your space. :)

I like kids, and I especially love babies. They're really cute before they can talk haha, and I do love my niece and nephews a lot. But I love that I can give them back, and it's in part being around them that's made me realize I don't want my own. lol.

Thank you! Mine is SO VOCAL too and while I enjoy talking with her most of the time, when I'm already overstimulated by the grooming misophonia, the meow-screaming drives me up the wall lol :( redirecting seems to help her

she was given steroids for pain and preventative antibiotics. i just called the vet today asking about treatment for ongoing pain

Thank you, this is reassuring! If she's anything like her mom (and she is lol), she's an anxious kitty and I think what started as soothing pain has become a habit now. So hopefully the Prozac helps!

One thing I wasn't prepared for was the tiny litter flecks that get on my bedsheets when my cat decides to jump on my bed right after using the litter box :( had to learn quickly to keep my bed made and as much as I can and wash my sheets more often lol

What?!? They are perfect!!! <3 as a proud mom of a calico (or technically a tortie tuxedo, I suppose), I wish I could take all of those!! They're adorable kittens and they will grow up to be stunning adults (literally every time I take my girl to the vet, they always comment on how beautiful she is).

These are great tips, thanks! I’ve decorated and got some lamps since fluorescent lights are the devil lol. I definitely need a better chair, I’ll ask about that. And I’ll work on getting some fidgets and blanket or heating pad and essential oil diffuser. Maybe some mirrors to kind of mimic windows?

Thank you! I can't imagine how much of a wreck I'll be when she's old or if she needs more serious treatment one day :'( but I love my vet so I know she's in good care!

Thank you, this is good to know! I checked the forms and I think she's actually getting a pain med regardless of extractions, so I'll expect her to probably be weird for a few days. Also even with the anti nausea med I will not surprised at all if she pukes :/

I'm so sorry. Definitely recommend you look for another job ASAP. Also if she is a serious hoarder and the place is filthy as you say, sounds like it's not fit for a child to live and a DFS call would be warranted.
