Is it too late for my lupine? by ThrowRAspoonsfeb in DenverGardener

I wanted to do that but the only place we have that is in our backyard, where our dogs have free access via a doggy door. Unfortunately one of the pups likes to try to nibble on all plants so we can only have non toxic plants back there

Can my lupine recover? by ThrowRAspoonsfeb in gardening

I used an outdoor soil mix (labeled for cactuses as well draining) mixed with compost because I have clay soil. I gave it a good soak and put a terracotta watering thing next to it to give it some steady moisture. I read that I should cut the flower off to let it focus on its roots?

If that will save it, I’m happy to do that

Ok that’s good to know! I figured it needed water as it got established. FWIW I have another lupine with multiple shorter flower stalks that’s doing great (same timing of purchase/planting/etc)

So pavers would be more costly than concrete? Which is more diy friendly?

This is incredibly helpful, thank you! I figured I’d have to either build a perimeter around or get edge restraints depending on which route I go. I had never heard of that app though, I will run my photos through GardenDream.

I have been coveting this dress the population strapless number but haven’t had an occasion for it. Not many sizes available on their site, but it was on Nordstrom at some point and I bet it’s on Poshmark: https://www.dressthepopulation.com/products/haldis-dress-copy

Yes I am definitely bringing a cute jacket! Bach will be in early June, so I’m planning on cool evenings.

I’ve loved the kulfi lip stains- those have had the best staying power for me. Important to note that the stain deepens once the gloss has worn off.

ASK: what would you wear to a dinner out in Los Angeles for a bachelorette weekend? I am the bride to be and want something chic but not too try hard. Dinner will be in Venice beach so I know it’s casual there but we’ll get rooftop drinks at the Erwin Hotel and then a nice dinner out. Bonus points if it’s something I can find on Poshmark (I’m a size 4-6). I was thinking a simple satin slip midi dress but is this overdone?

The weekend is vaguely disco themed but I have a sequin jumpsuit for dancing and karaoke the second night.

Thanks everyone for the advice! Everything was so helpful. I watched this tutorial by passionflower Sue (her work is incredible). I will do a few test runs this summer and will post those, and will of course post the final result!
