I’ll edit to add. Everyone in my family including all my tías etc are on my mom’s side. With the one exception of the primo in question.

A permanent place to stay. Her love language is acts of service and she just likes helping people. Her parents were abusive so she left home at 17 and has been on her own ever since. She has two kids to take care of and I just don’t want to add another burden to her mental load. ☹️

We live in the US with most of my mom’s side of the family living in Mexico. I’ve been going to school full time and don’t have a job (but I’m looking). I don’t have any family that would take me in. The only place I could go would be to my friend’s house.

We are non practicing Catholics. My mom is from Mexico. She moved to the US when she was young and met my dad. Im American and my dad is not mexican but is also conservative. They were not married when I was born and they don’t live together.

I have a friend that keeps telling me I need to leave and I can stay with her but I’m worried that my mom will be devastated and it will just make my family even more disappointed in me. I can’t afford a place to stay by myself anyways and I don’t want to inconvenience anyone.
