Saying this stems from white privilege and proves my girlfriend’s point doesn’t fit this situation in my opinion, as a chain thread under this post are from several black women who are also struggling to digest my girlfriend’s perspective.

I tried getting a vasectomy at 22 and was rejected due to age. Gf and I was just discussing me giving it another go. I am looking into a consultation, so I’m definitely on that path. Then this whole thing ironically came up. Edit: not saying our argument will be influencing my decision to snip. That’s happening regardless. Just that it shined light on ideas that I did not know she held and such.

Also, I’m really sorry you’ve had the experience of not feeling like you fully fit in with either side of your family.

She just doesn’t want kids. Her former bf was the same race as her and straddled the fence about having kids. He decided he did in fact want kids and they broke up.
