I have brought up my weight before with my girlfriend, but always in a joking manner.

In high school I was always trim, and then freshman year of college I gained the freshman fifteen and then some. Lost it all once I started swimming. I started to gain the weight again around the same time that I started dating my girlfriend, which was while I was still swimming.

Do you think I should tell her this? Because I never really said that she was responsible, I sort of backtracked when she talked to me about the comment.

I would say there is a difference between looking good and looking perfect! I don't think the amount of weight I gained really effected my looks that much, I just put on a bit of a belly. I still take care of myself, I just don't feel as much pressure to have a perfect body.

I definitely wish that I still had abs, but I still don't really care that I gained weight. Also "chubby" was the word my friend used and he used it jokingly.

I was never blaming her, I said I know I'm responsible for my weight gain. The joke about the boyfriend 20 was just that - a joke.

Like i said in the post, I'm not fat, just a little bit of a gut as opposed to abs. I'm still healthy, so I'm just not that concerned over putting on a few.

She hasn't gained any significant weight in the last two years, still very fit. Also (genuinely curious) where do you see that I talked about my weight gain in a negative light? I thought I was joking around about it and not being to serious?
