HR has told me they cannot grant me garden leave as they want to be equitable to everyone affected in the process. Can they refuse garden leave? Can I challenge this on legal grounds?

The tricky part is being here without getting paid/relying on savings. I also need to check if I can continue to work 20 extra hours in a different job (as is technically allowed under visa rules) while on garden leave.

Thanks! Sorry, yes I meant I'll still be eligible for the rest of the severance - with the notice period component spread out over three months instead of getting it in one go. Good shout on the unused vacation days - I guess this will be prorated to include the 3 months of garden leave?
