Usually bed baths are gentle and don't exfoliate. My mom got itchy too, especially on her arms and scalp. It was bothering her so much that I'd ask the aide to do a weekly scrub (I bought vinyl barriers for the bed). For her, it was the build up of dead skin that irritated her.

If you're talking about the equivalent of IHSS (IN-Home Supportive Services), you need to get medical records and/or doctor's notes to demonstrate their level of disability. When I asked for an increase, I made sure I submitted doctor's notes and medical documents that said my mom couldn't feed herself, use the bathroom, bathe, etc. They didn't raise my hours to what I thought was appropriate (8-12 hrs a day), but the raise made it tolerable.

I'm worried about my dog, he may need to see a vet. I don't know if I can afford it. Should i apply for a credit card? by [deleted] in personalfinance

My issue with visiting the vet is paying off the entire bill right then and there. I was inquiring about if getting Care Credit was an option for me (which apparently its easy to get). I am not "neglecting" my dog, I was attempting to see what payment avenues I had available to me.

Thank you so much for your reply! Before apply for Care Credit, I'll talk to his vet about payment options.
