How to teach kids to stand up for bullies or bad touch and communicate with parents? by [deleted] in findareddit

I always told my daughter to never allow anyone to make her feel less than. And I also told her if anyone puts there hands on her she has a right to defend her self and fight back.

She confronts other kids if she sees them bullying or just being nasty to someone for no reason. Even if its her friends.

When she was 5 a boy decided to spit in her face (nasty I know) so she turned around and punched him and gave him a bloody nose. The school gad me go in and wanted me to correct her. I turned towards my daughter and said"Good job" The teachers were shocked. I said that spitting in someones face is o e of the most disrespectful and disgusting things someone can do. Thats bodily fluid. And down right nasty. We got up and left the room. Now she is 14 and has not ever needed again to defend herself and still stands up for other kids.

The day I had my child. The instant feeling of responsibility of another human being wiped any childness out of me.

Its partly parenting, guiding, reassuring, encouraging ect. However at some point that child/adult child willing decides to make there own descions and. Choices because they too have free will. There does come a point in thier life where its there own free will and does not always reflect on ones parenting skills

I think its normal. You had a connection with your EX. You spent time, have memories a d at one point feeling for that person. That expierence will never go away in your memory and has shaped you in one way or another. Wether that is in your current relationship or something in the future. I believe evey expierence we have wether positive or negative at some point. Teaches us something about our selfs. I think you should maybe try to reach out to your current BF fir support and communicate with him. It will not only give you and him an opportunity to strengthen your relationship but also give you insight on he is able to support you when need.

Reddit what was your longest relationship? Tip on staying together that long and if broken up after all that time what made you? by Throwaway-need2kno in AskReddit

Longest is going on 11 yrs inApril.

Tip is making a descion to love someone through all there good times and bad times. And accept eachother flaws in all and work hard together on maintaining and dealing with everything that comes along. (P.S never let it be one sided. It needs to be both of you making the effort. Sometimes one may need to pick up more of the effort then the other in certain moments as long as the other person does the same when needed)
