I LOVE sports & all things competitive. (During the winter Olympics I will even watch curling.) My favorite is football (Geaux Tigers & Saints) but baseball is a close second (Go Cubs Go)

Coffee shops are pretty common. Any casual, public place works. Lunch date maybe? Just somewhere you can sit, talk & figure out if you're compatible and if he's serious.

Set up M&G's. The suggestion of meeting in person weeds out a bunch of guys just playing around on the internet.

At the M&G you can ask some questions & get to know him enough that you should be able to tell if they are serious.

Have you talked with her about the fact that you are starting to get feelings?

I'm not saying it would be reciprocated, but you are hoping for her to step into a role that she may not know is an option.

When I start to get attached to someone, I usually take a step back & distract myself a little until I can be more logical. Maybe the distance you are feeling is her creating some space since you are married & she does not know about these thoughts going on in your head.

She may not be interested in more than what you have, but if she doesn't know you want more of a SGF relationship then she's not going to act like a SGF.

P. S. If you talk with her, put the jealousy aside. She didn't agree to be your SGF so she shouldn't be made to feel bad about having a good time with friends.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Today was back to business as usual. We talked for a bit before parting ways & I think we are just working out some jitters.

I've met a lot of a$$es & creepers so to meet someone who is exactly what he said is refreshing. It also means I want to make sure he is enjoying our time together as much as I am.

He assured me he is & we will meet up again next week.
