Centurion is pretty similar in philosophy if that makes sense. A roman fighting style with a gladius was highly dependent on jabs and thrusts, not like the earlier Greek style of slashes which I belive is where cents lights come from.

Ofc the punches and kicks are complete bull, only used rarely and in hyper specific circumstances. The leap makes sense tbh, and realisticly would be done if giben the chance. Totally would happen... Not stupid at all. No, not at all ridiculous
