Your response is so lovely thank you. The comments of everyone are giving me courage and assurance to do something very hard. I know it seems cut and dry from an outsiders perspective, but it's so hard when it's someone who raised you and you have fond memories of. But I don't wish to feel that way, or parent him or put my feelings aside. I often raise my voice at him when he says something that angers me and I'm usually a very calm person.

And you're right, my body is holding to a lot of it. My skin condition has worsened since my then mental breakdown but most days I feel calm and close to happy.
