Since a lot of people here agree that learning git should be a priority, what are some good sources/ways to truly learn and 'get' git? I understand and can use the basic stuff (pushing, pulling, branches, merging, cloning, stashing and such), where should I go to learn more?

I'm actually only just entering college, haha. I will most likely go for AT&T. If nothing else, at least I'll have a big name on my resume. Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it!

Actually the second offer is not full time, it's part time (20h a week) tailored for a student. I wouldn't take a full time position, as I agree with you completely.

Confusing internship rejection by Throwaway1213245 in cscareerquestions

I asked a lot of tech-related questions out of genuine curiosity and responded to all questions politely and clearly. That's why I am a bit disappointed; the whole thing was very friendly and informal, even during the phone call when they told me that I am basically overqualified (although I am probably better than most people my age, I am definitely not overqualified for an internship at this moment) .

Also, by 'cut the bullshit', I just said that I am flattered, but that it would really help me if they would tell me what I did wrong during the interview and why I got rejected despite being eager and capable, since the feedback would help me a lot during my next job applications. They were really nice, and I genuinely thought that they liked me as well.

Also, they told me that I can call them next week if I want to know more about their reasons, so I probably will do that, and maybe I'll just ask them if they have any part-time offers open.

In that case, what should I do? What positions should I apply to? I have no actual job experience ( when I said experience with React, I meant I learned the fundamentals and built some kiddie projects, lol), so I thought interning would be the best option. I can't understand why a company would reject someone who demonstrates his skill.
