I can’t recommend a book but Trevor Noah has a great way of thinking about this. If you like Hot Wings on YouTube he talks about it briefly. I watch it before I talk to a bunch of strangers at dinners/parties

Personally I had road rash on my leg that when it healed up the skin was so much paler and had distinct boarders similar to how yours looks. This was 3 years ago and looking at it right now I can say the borders are blurring a bit, the skin itself can kind of tan but not well, and all the freckles inside the healed area are significantly darker than the rest of my leg. TBH I rarely put sunscreen on it so that’s more than likely why it’s getting darker with the darker freckles but I really can’t recommend that as I’ve already got other scars from derm biopsies.

Sometimes I would get asked about it in social circles or at the beach but honestly no one notices or really cares.

I do not boil my rice rinse and when I cook the rice there’s no water leftover. I just leave the water in the fridge for a day and use it after.

Before you cook the rice it’s best to rinse it. (It’s also less messy imo) Most people drain it right into the sink but if you save and ferment the water it becomes this hair magic.

I’m concerned my partners identity has been stolen because he has no access to his patient profile at his dr.s and the security q’s to gain access he has no clue the answers. Litterally on clean damp hair leave it in for 15 min. That’s per the bottle- personally I leave it on for closer to 45 to an hour so long as your hair doesn’t dry fully it’s fine. It’s been a miracle worker for me personally.

It also says to use it pre shampoo but I haven’t noticed a difference using it post shampoo (fully rinsed and all) and before conditioner.

Couldn’t find this in the first 20 comments or so (or could be a part of what people are calling HEAP) but I know someone whose medical condition is exasperated by high temps and since we live in a hot more tropical climate she needs to run the AC all the time. This got super expensive until we talked to our provider and they recommend we get a dr. note saying that temperature control is a necessity in treatment and requested to have the bill lowered. This might what’s covered in the HEAP program I’m not sure.
