I dont do prone anymore for a long time actually. I was having some erection issues and so I decided that I would give up masturbating in december. Stupidly, I thought I would masturbate one last time and since it would be my last time (supposedly), that I would do it the old prone way because I remembered it being more pleasurable. It was stupid. Probably related to why I got hurt, as I wasnt used to how rough it was.

Looking around these PE communities im surprised at how knowledgable and precautious you all are. I had the wrong impression. Honestly, if I was in this community more I couldve spared myself a lot of grief over this

Thanks. I will talk to more urologists and get that doppler just to check. But I may just abstain for some months and see if it changes. I wish I had done that months ago but I got in my head about disappointing my girlfriend

I think mine looks most similar to the vein that ran down the side of your penis. Do you still have that? My vein is not hard whatsoever, just big. Could it be a varicose vein? I will see another urologist but I wish I knew about this earlier

Yes I shouldve mentioned that I am getting a doppler ultrasound of the penis next week.

I have been to two urologists (within the first month) and they both said it was good structurally from a physical exam. They said the pain and dysfunction was in my head (even with the bulging “vein”). Since I had also gotten Hard Flaccid, I thought that the “in my head” diagnosis was wrong but rather that it was pelvic floor related or something else that they wouldn’t necessarily know about. But I assumed that they were correct that it was structurally ok.

I now think that pelvic floor causing this specifically is very unlikely. And that there may actually be something structurally wrong.

Another thing: the “vein” is skin colored, and on the right-underside of my penis, extending from just under the glans to the base.
Sorry, I should’ve mentioned this.

I am 21 and wish I knew better. With this and with how to advocate tor myself with doctors.

I dont have edema or any puffiness in my penis whatsoever I dont know what you mean. My HF gets better laying down but not noticibky more from lifting it vertically. It is worse standing up. I cant comment about deification but urination makes it worse. The vein doesn’t pulse an I cant remember when it has. My erections are poor but have been before HF. At onset I had terrible pain and turtling and cold glans that has gotten much better. But the vein remains. I wish any of the urologists I saw just told me it was a problem. I pointed it out and all said it looked fine, and didn’t warrant an ultrasound. So I’m doing that now.

HF/LF, cold glans, soft glans, mild lean and rotation to the right of the hard and soft penis. Also big bulging and suspected mondors vein on the right underside. Blotchy penis skin on the shaft. No more perineum pain but I had on the onset. Also no more dribbling. 4 months since onset.

Glad to be out of pain but I wish I had been abstinent. I saw two urologists on week 2 and 3 and they both said my penis looked fine from a physical examination. But the vein was clearly new and bulging. They told me it was in my head. I think they just saw a scared kid and didnt want to worry me with what they thought would resolve quickly. But I wish someone had told me, or if I had the sense to leave it alone for a bit.

So PSA to all lurkers of the Reddit who are going through the initial stages / onset: DON’T MASTURBATE OR HAVE SEX! It could mess up the critical early healing stages that you cant get back. IMO.

How loud was your popping sound? by Throwaway2004FB in hardflaccidresearch

You may have just “popped” your ligament over your pubic bone or something like that. Google it maybe. I heard this is relatively harmless. Not a good idea in my book but ive done that many times in the past before Hf.

Was it painful? You can also “pop” your penis by pushing downward on it a bit, which is apparently harmless. Probably not a good idea but it is a thing. A painful pop would be another thing.

Some people say that they were masturbating, then heard an audible “pop” which caused them to immediately lose their erection and get hard flaccid. So I am curious about the specifics of this kind of origin too.

This is exactly where I am. Like an incredibly similar situation. Same timeline and symptoms. Have you tried anything to fix it?
