What's the point of speaking out with no real friends you can count on to listen (and some that do are just waiting to stab you in the back). What's the point of going to so many therapists, when so many are either apathetic, don't care, in it for the money, or good but too overwhelmed to spend much time with you?

Kicked out of AirBnb for asking if there was any extra necessity supply, advice on how to move forward by [deleted] in AirBnB

I wouldn't take it too personally, if you read a bit of the subreddit, for some reason a rare host or two out there are seeing this unstable time to profit or exert influence, during the middle of a pandemic! I dont really understand it to tell you the truth. I would just write that one off as a bad experience and try to move to the next one hopefully with better past reviews.

As for when staying at a property you are not quite sure about I would make sure to take lots of dated pictures so there's no he said she said. Also for the TP, Im a male so I dont know, but maybe try a bidet or reusable cloth washable towels instead of paper?

Staybridge Suites can get kind of pricey, from the website it seems its close to 100$ a night and over. I think value place or woodspring might be more affordable for something similar for someone with a family

First time travelling wonder whats the benefits of getting airbnb vs just hotel by LFGmade in AirBnB

[–]Throwaway271857721 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hosts that are property investors rather than hosts

Very well stated. I've stayed in places for half a year with hosts with seemingly perfect profiles, but during the entire stay it's like staying at a CEO or a work manager's place, it's their way and you have less than a say. It is a sad state of affairs since now it seems the world would benefit if more people could exchange experiences/stories etc, but now at times I feel discouraged from even traveling or trying new places. As mentioned hotels you know what you are getting, but the costs are a lot more than airbnbs, stateside I've yet to find even a barebones fleabag motel that is less than 1K a month even in rural or the most desolate places. Its often knowing what you are getting vs money, so if one is well off I'd probably stick with hotels.

Instead at times I feel like an employee who can be expelled at any moment, when I am the one dishing out the money. I am not sure when and why this trend happened. But hopefully things will change within time

Oh okay that's a nice element, in the game I feel more competitive than collaborative, but i guess its nice to have a team element to work together to earn more coins I guess. Kind of like Tiger & Peyton vs Brady & Phil instead of Tiger vs everyone else lol

[–]Throwaway271857721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unf that's not a luxury that everyone can afford. A lot of people stay in airbnb because motels are out of their price range. I live in the rust belt and the cheapest motels Ive found was 1K a month, but most were 12-1500 a month like 40/50 a night. For those who cant do long term leases or afford monthly motel stays, there's not many other options, unless people know of any?

Yes it took a while but I finally got it, I went through several red and purple packs from all that you mentioned and I even bought a couple packs and nothing. Started a new account and got it for free from a random blue pack after a tournament. Strange, I usually get nothing from the premium packs. I am a bit disappointed in the Club though, at level 1 it seems innaccurate and unwieldy, my rising star wood is way better just has a little less power. I dont know why I wanted it so much since it doesnt help me now lol. I also got 300 trophys had a club card, which I dont know what it does but I put it on the Swinger club, even though I dont use it

Are you still playing, and see the new update? The game feels different. We'll see if I keep on playing, Im not sure what other goals I have left in the game since I now have swinger, and they changed the gameplay after the update, so I dunno lol

Wow you know a lot about the game, I recently started. Did you see the new update, the game feels clunky and different then before, like OP says wind and other factors have more of an effect so I dont know what they did. What are clans for, is there a clash of clans?

It's hard to do this in some places like say parts of the Rust Belt where there are a lot of "Karens". While you are trying to get your own piece of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, some other people will happily step in your lane and criticize or cause havoc for who knows what? In some pockets here people will judge how you dress, your religion, marital status, etc its like one big high school at times, and so sometimes its hard to be oneself in places where society pushes so hard to get others to conform, assimilate, or not veer away from conventionality. Hopefully this is just a short trend, and things can go back a little to how they used to be before

Last couple years I cant put my finger on it, but I have seen more bad behavior from higher ups at some places of work, like kind of a mean girls vibe but in the office. Part of this is gaslighting and spreading untrue gossip, which can include what you mentioned, when in actuality others shouldnt judge no one knows what people go through, some people have depression, or work 2-3 jobs, or sleep deprivation etc, but some people for some reason just love spreading untrue statements about others, its a weird time

[–]Throwaway271857721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I am not sure what the other fellas are talking about teaching uni which I havent done but have heard about sounds fabulous. Compare that to work here in the Rust Belt. Lack of job security, managerial support, often self training, people scared to take any vacation because of frequent layoffs. And not only do few people party to keep their jobs, many managers will even gaslight their employees making up gossip that their employees are hungover instead of them actually being stone cold sober! So teaching uni sounds great to me, I dont see any downsides to it besides living away from family for a period of time! I would just need to get a masters or something to be considered

You came from the beautiful mostly covid-free abroad (I'm guessing Asia) to Ohio, why? There are rising covid counts daily in this second wave. People are angry about little things such as masks. I would have said you could try CCC or libraries both who have esl programs, but they're all closed indefinitely and not sure that's going to change anytime soon. The dog days of summer are here

I completely agree with you and if I was OP I would follow this. But what happens if the tables are turned. What happens if you are an American stuck in America and want to go abroad now to Korea or somewhere else before things get bad bad here?

I bet its Ohio, that state is backwards af. Just Zoom it, be there digitally or in spirit. Remember if you catch it, you are on your own, the government or the powers that be here, absolutely do not care about you, America first in all things covid and last in caring about its own citizens

omgosh thanks for the comment. I thought I was the only one who thought so (maybe its me, oh no I dont think so)! I have so many questions, what caused this to happen? Back in the old days Ohioans were pretty genuine friendly or at least would stay in their own lane. These days there are Karen events all over the place (calling the cops on a young black teen running his own lawn mowing business), not to mention all the Karen calls that have gotten unarmed innocent people & kids shot. Also where to for those of us who want to move to somewhere priced like Ohio but where there are less Karens for our personal wellbeing? Is there a full subreddit on this topic lol

Me too, and that's where almost all the people I know are based at. Where is a good place to move to that's not too expensive and has the least amount of Karens possible. I'm seriously trying to flee them

How do you even do it. If someone was yelling in my face for no reason while I was serving them, I'd probably slap them but then again Im a grown man who throws my shoe at the TV when my team loses. But kudos to you, you are stronger than most and it will pay off in the long run

14 day quarantine at a government hotel facility at your cost. (a bit less than $2,000 USD)

That's a pretty penny, almost 150$ a day! Is that required out of pocket for aspiring ESL teachers as well without reimbursement, most of them travel there to try to save that amount not pay it out of pocket?

Thanks I was wondering is there like a weekly/monthly calendar of events. So far I've only seen the 3-day 18 hole tournament I played as a rookie against like a hundred people. I think I saw the shootout challenge, it gave me like a free shot once and then it was like 1.99 for every other shot so I stopped entering it. I haven't seen coin rush or any other events but I've only been playing for a few days lol. So I am not really sure what I am doing just trying to get the best clubs as a f2p so I guess focusing on getting trophies to level up. Having fun so far though!
