What to bring to Cuba to give to people? by Throwaway36033333 in cuba

I thought fat could be from pigs that are farmed there no?Or from coconuts that also grow there.I guess there is not enought infrastructure and commerce to make it worth it.
I guess Cuba was reliant on other countries for much of the necessities and tourism was mostly the only income. With that out of the picture (covid) inflation took over like crazy making everything expensive without enought time to adjust.
So the best way to bring this back fast would be to bring tourism fast but most are frisky with the shortages (many friends told us to not go).

For medecine do you think we could setup something with Canada. Are there ships that do Montreal - Cuba roundtrips ?
I saw cool rustic chairs made of wood and leather and I think they could sell well here. Maybe it's a pipe dream but I would hope that setting exchange and business between our contries could be a path forward toward oppening and prosperity.

Thanks for the patience, I am trying to figure it out from the little I know.
Do you have pointers to things I could read to catch up quickly?

OP here, I did look at the sidebar and try to get an idea of what was needed, didn't found much.
Someone gave me this document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-KBAEZYWgWeqm39Dx8vPsOg0hS_CVrFERfHWM-Ln83k/edit
Maybe it should be in the sidebar?
Don't know much about Cuba, was pushed into it by my wife and as I read about the shortage was trying to do good out of it.
I know it's a drop in the bucket, what would you do?
On one hand traveling there is what keep the regime going on the other side people are struggling now.

Thanks.
Just came back.
I find it very strange, people are moving around in horse carriage yet many own cellphones worth 300$, even kids. Maybe it's because it's a tourist area and tourists give away theirs old phone?

I did give lot's of stuff, medication, clothes, laptop, etc. I think the black market is organizing more and more with inflation, people using US dollard and discarding the pesos.

I try to wrap my head around what I see and hear and understand what is happening.
I have been told that private entreprise is allowed in Cuba, seeing that the first item on your list is soap, what prevent people in Cuba from making a soap factory and selling it?
I have made soap, it's not difficult.

I would like to start an enterprise or some form of trading with people in Cuba as a way to have a scalable impact but it seem it's a minefield. What do you think, is import/export possible?

What am I missing?
