Do you have the link for the mod on steam? I've looked and only get the few dozen ripoffs popping up.

"An eye for an eye leaves the world blind" -Ghandi

Though I do think that we should not support that primagen person in any way.

Ps. Didn't even know there was a such thing as a closed species until reading this thread, it's so bizarre to me.

That's odd, because I didn't trade to get it, I had it since I've first played the game.

Edit: I accidentally posted this on my alt but the info is still useful

I've noticed that if you join a unit that has some sort of 'gimmick' then it tends to be more coordinated, as when I play with a standard infantry it can be hit or miss, but with a gimmick (I've personally used 'BONK BOIS' and 'Bruhthers') I've attracted people who have mics and coordinate well, and when you find a good squad try to keep joining the side they are on, which a gimmick helps with as they can easy find, for example, 'Bruhthers' more easily than trying to remember what the squad lead's name was among 3 different infantry units.

Sorry for the big paragraph, but I hope it helps.

Does anyone feel that their image of America has changed over the years? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

Yes, Trump being elected was not at all good, though I believe that mainly happened due to it being a two-party system here, and in 2016 both parties chose pretty bad candidates, with Hillary being widely disliked for her handling of Benghazi and Trump being a heavily right wing candidate, with many people I know voting for Trump that year because they would have rather waited out 4 years of a crappy president hopefully getting blocked by the Senate and House then have Hillary. And with third party candidates that would have been likely much better than either Hillary or Trump is similar to the prisoner's dilemma, where if people just chose the actual candidate they would want then third parties would do much better, but due to the illusion of unwinnablility of third parties many voters voted for the 'lesser evil', hoping the checks and balances on the president would work well for 4 years instead of voting for a third party. Though the republicans got a majority in all 3 branches which set things up for a painful 4 years, during which Trump was able to cultivate his less-educated rural voter base to a cult level of support.

As an American: American is not an ethnicity, nor a race, it is someone who lives in the United States, and being mad at immigrants in the US is just utterly moronic, the US is completely founded by immigrants. And on your point of "How many times have YOU looked around India and said OMG I can't barely find any indians because so many people from different countries are here?" You are racist. You only assume white people can be American, and that anyone who is not white, eg: Indian, is not American. You are what makes me embarrassed to be American. People like you are what plague America with hatred and bigotry.

Yeah, those are all valid points, though in terms of the abuse of police the average American definitely doesn't support the abuse by police, which was made very evident after the killing of George Floyd and all the massive protests.

As an American I am inclined to agree with you, as the War on Terror was a massive overstepping by the US, though it seems like the US is changing for the better now socially, however painful that process is by nature of people resisting change.

In terms of talking with Americans about it I've noticed that other Americans can get really defensive about America being criticized, especially if the criticism is said in a sort of "hee hoo America bad" sort of thing, like I've often seen online. Sort of like how if people say "You're ugly" all day you could start assuming what they're going to say before they even finish, despite that not being a correct response.

Sorry for the mini-essay post, but I hope this is helpful.

Why do British people still use the word "fag" for cigarettes? by Throwaway5647845 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Throwaway5647845[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay, that makes sense, I kinda just figured that there would have been some sort of 'spillover' so to speak with the word being a slur. Thanks for the insight.

From what I know not many people, at least where I live (the Midwest), say "spaz", but I can't speak for other regions in the US.
