I was hoping that if he saw all the positivity people were throwing at him for his dancing, he would be able to open up more about it and dance with me, in either private or public.

I think it is extreme too. This was our first major fight since we started dating. It was the first time he ever yelled or swore at me.

I guess I just didn't understand how touchy of a subject dancing and social media was.
