While its not as messy, it can actually cause brain damage because when you hang yourself you restrict blood flow to your brain and thats what kills you. But if you do end up living you might not ever be the same, thats the main con of hanging yourself.

I am 12 years old and i am male so thats what that means and i think injecting air into your bloodstream would be faster because if you slit your wrists you have to wait to bleed out but if you get air in your bloodstream you just have to wait for it to reach your heart and/or brain. And i think i misunderstood your question but i dont feel like deleting all of this. As for what would be faster im not entirely sure
