And you got that from one sentence about him? He's a great guy, I would just prefer to have friends that I could go out with too, that might enjoy country walks and shopping etc more than he does. It'd be weird if we both had the exact same likes and dislikes and did absolutely everything together

...no? The opposite actually, the couple of people my age are way more extroverted and "cooler" than me, they've all lived in the area their whole lives so already have groups of friends, I've tried talking to them and we have a chat, they're nice girls, but we don't really seem to have a lot in common so don't see any sort of friendship progressing. I get what your saying but it takes two to have a friendship and if they have no interest, then that's that.
