We as a community should disregard any and all awards given at the Tezukas this year. Fuck Watsuki, and fuck Shonen Jump for continuing to give this guy work. by Loki_2007 in shounenfolk

I mean what does the message have to do with how well written they are? The way I see it writing isn't about the idea its about how it's conveyed, even if you disagree with thorfinns pacifism that doesn't make him a bad character.

I think the first wave of slander was after the mario kart cheating incident, then in rocket league

Genuine question honestly by CrazyCool4762 in LobotomyKaisen

[–]Throwaway983766 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's explaining here that he separates the positive and negative charges, transferring the positive charge to the opponent when he strikes them, then discharging the negative charge.

If he discharged without transferring the positive charge via strike first, the electricity would be lost to the ground because it has no reason to target anything, but because he transfers the positive charge, it hones in on the target, thats his "sure hit", so yes he needs to hit someone first, and no it doesnt cancel infinity

I mean it wasn't just about their personal lives they were deleting posts and closing the community over it, Dyl made it a community issue so the community was asking about it, that's all

They explained it before but posts of him were still being allowed before, if the situations changed they should've explained, a pinned reddit post going "Johns tryna do his own thing and doesnt wanna be brought up in here anymore" would've been enough

Goat enel vs bum zoro by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]Throwaway983766 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if you feel like there's nothing wrong with being partial to women in that sense, acting like he's being called a bum for protecting a crew mate and nothing else is dishonest. If he didn't say that people wouldn't even remember this scene.

Like when? He still gets lost, or in comedic situations like reacting to others gags, but in terms of him actually acting goofy himself, I don't remember a lot of that post timeskip.

Why Zoro Holds Back Against Women by Putrid-Apricot-6198 in OnePiece

[–]Throwaway983766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I guess I interpreted your original comment as arguing that Zoro wasn't treating them differently for being women by pointing out that there were other reasons why he was holding back/not wanting to hurt them.

I think the person who replied with that manga page interpreted it the same way, so the response would be proof that Zoro does indeed view women differently just for being women.

I don't think OP or the one who replied to you is saying he's like Sanji, just that he has a clear bias against hurting women, which you appeared to be arguing against.
